At the Sustainable Polymers Research Lab (SPRL) at Toronto Metropolitan University, we collaborate with industry, academic, and government partners to support innovation in sustainable polymers, rheology, materials characterization, and advanced processing technologies.

Research Partnerships

We work closely with industrial and academic partners on collaborative research initiatives focused on sustainable materials, polymer processing, rheology, circular packaging systems, and advanced materials innovation.

Contract Research & Technology Development

Analytical & Pay-Per-Service Testing

We offer specialized testing and characterization services for polymers, sustainable materials, packaging systems, coatings, inks, adhesives, and related materials.

 

Available services include:

  • Physical and chemical testing

  • Rheological characterization

  • Flow and viscosity measurements

  • Oscillatory shear analysis

  • Thermal and mechanical testing

Testing services are available on a fee-for-service basis for industry, startups, researchers, and external organizations. In addition to SPRL’s in-house capabilities, our research activities are supported through access to advanced instrumentation, specialized testing facilities, and collaborative research infrastructure across the university and partnering institutes. These extended capabilities enable comprehensive multidisciplinary research and advanced analytical support across polymer science, sustainability, packaging, rheology, and materials innovation.
