Mahdis Zareie

Mahdis Zareie is a Ph.D. student in the Sustainable Polymers Research Lab (SPRL) at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her research focuses on developing environmentally friendly multifunctional coatings for textiles, with an emphasis on self-cleaning and fire-retardant properties. She has experience in nanomaterial-based polymer composites, electrochemical polymerization, and advanced material characterization. Mahdis completed her M.Eng. in Chemical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she explored applications of polymer and nanomaterial integration for energy and environmental systems. At SPRL, she contributes to projects at the intersection of sustainable surface engineering and textile innovation.
