My Story

Ghadir Reza Dokht is a PhD candidate in the Sustainable Polymers Research Lab (SPRL) at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her research explores the intersection of sustainable behavior and materials, with a focus on pro-environmental behavior in youth and its impact on sustainable waste management with a focus on Bioplastics. She brings interdisciplinary expertise in environmental sciences, behavioral analysis, and applied sustainability research.

Ghadir holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences and a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering. Her doctoral research examines youth waste management behavior using the Theory of Planned Behavior and aims to inform environmental education and policy. She also contributes to projects involving bioplastics and life-cycle analysis.

Outside the lab, Ghadir serves as an Education Director at a learning center, mentors students, and advocates for environmental literacy through community engagement.
